How to play GridzyPals
Find words in a grid of letters before the clock runs out. Play on your own, compete with friends live, or send a challenge they can finish later.
Connect letters to make words
Start on a letter and drag across touching tiles. You can move horizontally, vertically or diagonally, and change direction along the way. Each tile can appear only once in the same word. Release your selection to submit it, then find another word.
For example, on the homepage sample board you can connect C → A → T → S across the top row to make CATS. You can also submit CAT. A letter can be reused in a different word, but repeating a word you already found does not earn more points.
This is not a traditional word search with a fixed list of answers. You discover as many valid words as you can. Look for short words first, then try extending them or changing direction to find longer ones.
How scoring works
Longer words earn more points. In multiplayer, a word only you find earns double points. If another player finds the same word, it still earns its regular points. That makes both speed and finding less obvious words valuable.
When a round ends, compare the words players found. Reviewing the words you missed helps you spot new combinations in the next round. A rare word can make a difference, but a steady flow of shorter words matters too.
Choose your kind of word challenge
Solo practice
Play at your own pace between timed rounds. Choose 4×4, 5×5 or 6×6 grids and rounds from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Chase a personal best, review missed words, and practice finding paths through the board.
Live Party games
Play with 2–8 players on the same grid. Invite friends to a private room or join a worldwide Quick Match. Everyone races the clock together and compares results afterward. Optional voice and text chat let you talk while you play.
Turn-based VS challenges
Send a friend a challenge and play your rounds. Your friend can respond later using the same boards and round order. Both players still face timed rounds, but you do not need to be online at the same time.
Daily word puzzles
Try fresh daily challenges and compare your results in Pals and Worldwide rankings. Daily challenges offer three board sizes, giving you different puzzles to try each day.
A familiar letter grid, with your friends online
The core challenge is simple: spot connected words quickly. GridzyPals combines that word-finding format with live rooms, asynchronous challenges, daily competition and collectible cosmetics. Avatars and board styles personalize your game; everyone follows the same scoring rules.
