Pick a board and a timer.
Choose a 4×4, 5×5 or 6×6 grid and a timed round from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Start with a small board if you want fewer letters to scan, or try a larger grid for more possible paths.
Drag across neighboring letters, including diagonals. A path can turn, but you cannot use the same tile twice in one word. Release to submit, then look for another word.
After the round, review your words and the ones you missed. Trace their paths to see a combination you can look for next time.
Read the rules and scoring
Three small ways to practice.
- Find a short word first. On the homepage sample, C → A → T across the top row makes CAT.
- Look for an extension. The next tile is S, so the same start can become CATS. Each is a separate word.
- Review one missed path. At the end of your round, pick a word you did not spot and follow its letters before starting again.

Solo practice or a Daily score?
Solo lets you choose your board size and timer. Daily gives everyone a shared challenge in each of three board sizes, with Pals and Worldwide rankings. You do not need a live opponent for either.

Before you start.
For no-account Solo, use the browser option above. The current iPhone/iPad App Store description says an account is required; follow the prompts in your installed version.
Play in a mobile browser, including on Android. Desktop mouse play is available, but the game is designed for touch. Internet is required. Optional cosmetics do not change scoring.
